The winter garden - a special note for a house

 

This awning type is mainly used for the winter garden shading and the shading of larger glass roof surfaces. You can only enjoy the benefits and amenities of a winter garden with effective solar shading all year round. It is in this area that exterior shading is of particular importance in order to avoid the so-called greenhouse* effect.

Product features and functions of the PGM 2000

  • Awnings for winter gardens are extremely stable exterior shading systems

  • The tensioning system ensures the tension of the hangings

  • The hangings are rolled up on a fabric roller in housing

  • The rolling down takes place using a stable drop profile and is guided on both sides in Rails.

  • The drive is only possible with electric motor (tubular motor). NO radio engine possible!

  • This construction is very stable in wind - up to 40 km/h

  • Is an effective natural temperature control for winter gardens and rooms with large glass surfaces. Winter garden awnings stop approx. 60-80% of incoming shafts of sunlight before the glass and thus prevent a heating of the Interior.

  • This solar shading is appropriate in special designs for large-scale catering shading.

Tip!

In cases of roof shading with a ventilation window we recommend a montage with a spacer. This ensures optimal ventilation.

 

The greenhouse effect

 

This term often used nowadays even in solar technology describes an important property of solar radiation. Short-wave solar energy can penetrate the window glass surfaces without hindrance and meets on floor and walls inside the room / in the room interior.

That solar energy heats up building materials and is thrown back in the form of long-wave radiation which means a high percentage of IR. As a result radiation can no longer penetrate the glass surfaces. Thus, room interior overheating is preprogrammed! The greenhouse effect increases with interior solar protection application while it is reduced in external systems by holding off rays which have already been reduced to a minimum in front of the window.
